Other personal information you would like to share:

What is your biggest accomplishment in your sports?
Winning the California regional in 2015. I loved every minute of that weekend and never once worried about the things I couldn't control, I just did my best and genuinely was happy and proud of myself.

What one or two things do you currently do in your training that are keys to your success?
Mindset training - controlling my thoughts.

What would be your ultimate achievement?
There is no finish line in life so I want to inspire people until the day I die and change as many lives as possible , help people realize their potential and worth. Ohh and recover and unlock a level of fitness I have not yet reached.

How do you set your goals?
I think of all the things I want and then decide the importance of each and then pick 1-2 things I can work on and I tell them to my support team and constantly am discussing how things are going. I believe some things are better done in groups than solo, especially if you're like me and your thoughts and insecurities can get the best of you sometimes.

What is your biggest challenge, and what do you do to manage this challenge?
I'm not selfish enough for my goal to win the Crossfit games. This year I am going to be a bit more selfish and make sure I'm training weeks at a time with my coach. I love to take care of people and it's not a bad thing but just can't let it become priority.

What is your diet like?
Low fat and fueled by clean carbs with the occasional donut or cookie. I of course count those macro nutrients and make it fit.

Do you have any recommended resources to share (books, seminars, websites, coaches)?
Books: Daring Greatly (Dr. Brené Brown), Mindset (Carol Dweck); My YouTube Channel - Brooke Ence.

Have you experienced a breakthrough, and if so, what led to it?
A breakthrough with how I see myself and love myself. I would say it was not qualifying for he 2016 games and through the trolls breaking me down to almost nothing, I was able to rebuild myself with the help of good books and conversations with myself and all my support team.

What was the best advice you were ever given?
"Be the person on the way up that you would be proud to be on the way down.”

Where do you draw your inspiration from?
Always chasing the better version of me. Along with the pleasure I get from seeing my coaches and family and friends when they are proud of me.

What is your 5 year vision?
Speaking to groups of young girls and boys about unlocking potential by first accepting how amazing they are. The movies - Lady Thor is calling my name! Designing my very own sportswear. Training hard and continuing the work to be a better, stronger Brooke Ence and unapologetically badass.
